Beautiful little pousada on the waterfront. We only had 3 nights, and would have loved to stay longer. Nothing flashy, and kind of basic, but well suited to the Ilha Grande lifestyle. My only suggestion would be new linen, the old stuff is looking kind of tired, but was clean, non the less. We had only booked 3 nights, but booked another 4 nights after we arrived at Tago Mago. The place is great. It is located in a small hill just a minute's walk from the beach, which gives it a very nice view. It has great breakfast with scrambled eggs, a lot of fruit, natural juices and home made jam. The restaurant is great too. The rooms are comfortable and modern. The staff is super friendly and communications works ok although they do not speak much english. The Pousada Do Canto is in a prime position, clean spacious rooms and well managed. The breakfasts were great with plenty of fresh fruit too. We had to pay for mineral water though - this may be usual in Ilha Grande.- 29/03/2010, Mrs. Sallie Ashe

We had a great time at Do cantos, but the breakfast could be more international. We actualy missed egg and bacons. We also would suggest some sun-beds for rental, that would be great.- 21/02/2010, Mr. Asbjørn Økland
